Hills break away
The distance between lands,
While black wolves and deers fly nearer-
Letting skeletons pass the signs
Once lived to be remembered,
How soon they sink the past.

Sharply the chicane slithers the bends,
And a bodiless man crosses the bridge
Over The Icknield Way.
Let’s burn it! She says
And we do it because
He don’t care anymore
About these bloody corpse roads.
